Eaves Protection

Under modern roof tiles there is a felt fitted as a water barrier, unfortunately this breaks down along the edge of the fascia board due to water blowing back from the rain as it falls into the gutter.

This water blow back is then able to reach the timber causing rot and staining of the timber fascia.

To counteract this we use a "Rigid Eaves Protection" this is made from Polyethelene and is specially shaped to fit under the roofing felt and divert the rain straight into the gutter.

In the left hand picture the broken felt is clearly visible, on the right the eaves protection is fitted under the felt with the drip strip angled into the gutter bracket ready for the guttering.

The eaves protection is completely hidden once the gutter is in place, this protects your timber and helps to keep the fascias cleaner as the rain is no longer able to splash back onto the fascia and leave stains.

We use the "Eaves Protection system" on all our projects.
